Good Morning Stampees! It's the weekend! What to wear today? I have an idea! Let's take a page out of Jennifer Aniston's book! She has an effortless style. So simple, so chic! The fedora in this look takes it up a few notches! Oh and let's not forget the sexy, smoldering, smoky eye! Whew, thank you Jennifer! You rock!

Ask Olisi Friday's: Age Appropriate Shirts...

Hello Stampees!  I'm back!!!  Welcome to the second installment of Ask Olisi Friday's.  This week's question comes from Jennifer from Maryland:
"I've always had a pretty laid back style meaning I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl.  But now that I'm over 30 I'm kind of stuck as to what type of shirts are age appropriate for someone like me.  I don't want to walk around with "CUTIE" or some brand name like American Eagle across my chest, lol.  If I do see a nice blouse,  I'm thinking that's too dressy for running around on the weekend with my kids.  HELP ME Stamp on Style!!!!!"
Ok Jennifer, I see your dilemma, but I have to let you know right at this moment that there is nothing wrong with rocking a t-shirt and jeans at any age.  However, the way it is approached is important.  In our teenage years and early 20's we might wear jeans with a screen tee and some kicks and be fine with that.  Once we hit close to 30 and beyond, it's time to upgrade the look to something more grown and sexy (if you will).  One look that you can't absolutely go wrong with is a classic white tee and blue jeans.  This is a combination that will NEVER go out of style.  See Beyonce don the look below.  Now you can make this look more comfortable by wearing ballet flats instead of heels.  Try leopard ones like these!

Effortlessly cute!

Also, another way to upgrade classic jeans and a t-shirt is with a cardigan or blazer.  This small addition will take the tee up a few notches.  See examples of Gwyneth Paltrow in a blazer and Penelope Cruz in a cardigan below:

t-shirt & boyfriend blazer
t-shirt & cardigan

You see Jennifer, in all three pictures, the ladies are keeping it simple.  Less is MORE!  Since you're a busy mom this concept makes the most sense.  Now, if you feel like having fun with it, you can always rock a t-shirt in a color and/or cool print (i.e. tribal, floral, striped, neon).  You can also opt for a casual blouse like this one here.  This will keep your look fresh and up to date.  Also, always remember to be yourself.  The key to looking great is feeling it.  So if you feel comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, wear that with confidence.  Make sure the shirt of your choice and the rest of your outfit fits properly.

There are also other ways you can be comfortable and spice up your wardrobe.  If you're interested in learning more, contact me via email and I'll give you details :)

Jennifer, I now pronounce you STAMPED.  Now, share the love!  Please keep me posted on your journey for age appropriate shirts.

If you or anyone else you know has a fashion styling question they would like answered, please email me at!

Until next time....

Fellas Would, But Ladies....Men's Watches: Would You???

Stampees, I've always been a sucka for a good watch.  AND, more than not, I'm always drawn to men's watches like I am to their cologne.  I mean, call me weird, but it just seems like men's watches have more variety and give more attention to detail.  I believe I got this honest due to my dad's vast collection of watches.  He would buy me the coolest watches growing up, but I would still want to wear his. Well, since menswear has been a trend for women for the last few seasons, let's explore some men's watches that I adore and would happily STAMP gracing the wrist of my feminine Stampees.  Oh yeah, men can rock these too ;)

Timex Easy Reader Limited Watch $65
Skagen Denmark Stainless Steel Watch $100

Lego Inspired Matte White G-Shock $130
MICHAEL Michael Kors Oversized Chronograph $250
Nixon '51-30 Chrono Tiger's Eye' Watch $500

So Ladies, no need to secretly envy your man's watch.  Feel confident rocking your own!  I know I do!  Want to girlie it up???  Stack some bracelets on your wrist to accompany the watch.  Voila, a man's watch has never looked so good!!!  You've been STAMPED!  Now share the love....

Stay tuned for my answer to "Ask Olisi Friday's" tomorrow.

Until then, XOXO!

S.O.S. Kids: Dress & Play

Hello Stampees!  I come bringing you the first kids I've ever styled.  Their mother really wanted to capture something different with their pictures.  She didn't want the ordinary family studio pics. I recommended that we hit the outdoors which the children loved.  So I came up with the concept of doing the unexpected by taking some dressy pics at the National Zoo and then dress it down a bit at Meridian Park.  The shoot was a success and we all had a great time.  Check out a few of the best pics:

Who knew that children could be stamped too!!!  Shout out to my awesome photographer, Clarice Desgraves of Fresh Imagery Photography.  Check her out!

If you would like a shoot for your children, please contact me at!  Oh, and don't forget to send in your questions for "Ask Olisi Friday's" to get the answers to your burning fashion styling questions ;)

Bauble Envy

Happy Monday Stampees!  I have to tell you...Over the weekend I caught a major case of bauble envy.  My good friend Clarice was caught red handed (literally); rocking a beautiful wooden & red/orange enamel bangle and ring that I just had to capture.  This set is definitely a conversation starter.  So let's talk, what do you think?

These baubles are courtesy of Ann Taylor in Georgetown.

I can't stop thinking about the outfits I could rock with these.  Let's just say, I'm hoping my good friend will let me borrow them soon (insert double wink here).  I'll keep you posted on that.

You've been STAMPED!  Have a great Monday and I'll talk to you tomorrow!

Oh and don't forget about "Ask Olisi Friday's".  Send your questions in to!

MAD about Mad Men

Hello Stampees!  Everyone is buzzing about Mad Men's long awaited return to the air waves tonight!  I have to say, the clothes, the clothes, the clothes are everything on this show.  I have a very vintage taste and miss the days when men and women wore tailored clothing and paid attention to every detail in dressing.  Well, Banana Republic's "Mad Men" collection is a great representation of that time.  Check out my favorite item for women and men from the collection:

The Mad Men® Collection Betty dress

The Mad Men® Collection Tailored fit chino suit
So classy!  Check out the full collection at!  Mad Men airs tonight at 9pm on AMC.

Premiere of: "Ask Olisi Friday's"

Hi Stampees!  Here is the moment you've been waiting for....The premiere of "Ask Olisi Friday's"!  This is the place to be to get answers to your fashion related questions.  Let's get right into our very first question:

Tatiana from DC wrote:  "Where can I find a good pair of jeans for a low price?"
Response:  There are a few places you can get a great pair of jeans for a low price.  I personally love GAP jeans!  They have flattering fits for a range of sizes and shapes.  Another plus is that they carry ankle and tall lengths.  There is a pair of GAP jeans for pretty much everybody (including men, see "Fashion Komplex" post for an example :)).  Oh and with their new ad campaign featuring color, you can be classic, but on trend too!  Another great place to buy jeans is H&M.  Their jeans tend to be a little more trendy!  Great for finding a edgier wash or cut. Lastly, for the frugalista in you, Forever 21.  Forever is great for a good pair of skinny jeans for a very low price!  Check this pair out here! They also have some great pastel colored jeans.  I scored a lavender pair there recently.  I'm sure with these options, you are bound to find a pair of jeans that will fit you just right ;)  I hope my response helps.  Please check in with me and let me know how your hunt for a fabulous yet frugal pair of jeans goes!  Tatiana, you've been STAMPED!  Check out my favorites from each store below:
GAP 1969 long & lean jeans - $69.95

H&M Light Denim Blue Sqin Jean - $39.95

Forever 21 Whiskered Skinny Jean in Orange - $24.90

What do you think?
